This Privacy Policy explains how North American Association of Sales Engineers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the personal information of visitors to our website and participants in our programs.

1. Information We Collect
We may collect personal information such as:

  • Your name, email address, and IP address when you interact with our website

  • Details you submit when you subscribe to newsletters or complete forms

  • Information provided through nominations and self-nominations for programs such as Sales Engineer of the Year 2025 (e.g., nominee’s name, role, employer, relationship to nominator, and supporting comments)

  • If you choose to authenticate with LinkedIn, we receive from LinkedIn your LinkedIn member ID, name, profile photo (if available), and email address (via the r_liteprofile and r_emailaddress permissions). We do not receive your password.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

  • Improve our website and services

  • Communicate with you about updates, events, and promotions

  • Administer recognition programs such as SE 2025 and related activities

  • Process nominations and contact nominees and nominators

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • To let you sign in, create your member profile, and keep you logged in across sessions.
  • To prevent abuse of our login and member portal.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience and analyze site traffic. You can adjust your browser settings to disable cookies if desired.

4. Third-Party Services
We may share information with trusted vendors who process data on our behalf:

  • HubSpot (for forms, nominations, and email communication)

  • LinkedIn and Google (for analytics and advertising measurement)

  • LinkedIn (for authentication): when you use “Sign in with LinkedIn,” LinkedIn is the identity provider and shares basic profile and email information with us so we can authenticate you. We do not post to your LinkedIn account.

These providers act as processors and must protect your data. We do not sell personal information.

5. Data Security
We implement security measures to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security of transmissions or storage.

6. Retention

  • Nomination submissions are kept for the duration of the SE 2025 program and up to 24 months afterward for audit and records.

  • Other information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

  • Data obtained via LinkedIn login is retained while your member account is active and then deleted within 30 days of account closure.

7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.

8. LinkedIn Login – revoking access.
You can disconnect NAASE from your LinkedIn account at any time in your LinkedIn settings. You may also email us at info@sales-engineering.org to request deletion of data we obtained via LinkedIn login. We’ll complete deletion within 30 days unless the data must be retained to meet legal obligations.
